We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - CF to join our Dallas, TX office. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing trade-specific system design: layout (mark-ups as well as self-performed production utilizing CAD/BIM), calculations (utilizing appropriate software), and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the MEP industry.
  • PE is required.
  • Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience, required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead the design team of a wide number of projects.
  • Review for the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned as well as the work assigned to others.
  • Assume responsible charge for the overall economic wellbeing of the assigned projects.
  • Conduct business development activities.
  • Conduct due diligence reports that comply with group and company standards and procedures.
  • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
  • Design large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide a very high level of technical leadership.
  • Establish project budgets and schedules.
  • Network within SHG and outside.
  • Participate in QA/QC process of completed work by staff.
  • Perform 'Engineer of Record' duties for projects.
  • Perform calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.
  • Perform staff resource management and review.
  • Produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards.
  • Provide consulting engineering services including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports.
  • Pursue continuing education.
  • Represent Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
  • Take responsible charge for the project for his/her discipline, addressing any E & O issues.
