About The Position
The Division of Engineering Services (DES), Structures and Engineering Services (SES), Office of Electrical, Mechanical, Water, and Wastewater (OEMWW), is recruiting to fill a Senior Electrical Engineer (Sr EE) (Specialist) position located in Sacramento. This position exists in the Office of OEMWW. This is the technical specialist level of professional engineering work at Caltrans. Under the general direction of the office chief, a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the incumbent performs a wide variety of professional engineering work in either an office or field setting and functions as a lead person over maintenance inspections, emergency support to districts, electrical systems design, and oversight reviews. The incumbent evaluates, develops, and implements national standards, state and local codes, and Caltrans policies for the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical systems associated with transportation facilities, including but not limited to movable bridges, pump plants, tunnels, etc. Travel is required.
