About The Position

This position allows for a hybrid arrangement with a mix of work from home and in the office. This is a design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Electrical Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement. Support electrical design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team Responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses and engineering reports Prepare design inputs for drawing production including electrical site plans, power and lighting plans, one-line diagrams, assembly drawings, conduit and wire run schedules, wiring diagrams, elementary diagrams Apply electrical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components Produce procurement specifications and construction specifications Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.
  • Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
  • BSEE or MSEE degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 7+ years of progressive responsible experience in electrical engineering ideally in a nuclear environment
  • Experience with producing engineering designs for low to medium voltage electrical distribution systems and instrumentation wiring; experience with more than one type of system a plus
  • Experience with NEC, UL508, electrical codes, and IES Lighting Handbook
  • Proficiency or ability to learn load flow and/or arc flash analysis software such as ETAP and/or SKM Power Tools
  • Proficiency or ability to learn lighting analysis software such as Visual and AGI32

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • DOE experience preferred; commercial or Navy Field engineering and construction experience
