About The Position

At SAS, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow. The Senior Electrical Distribution Engineer (Team Lead/TR) is part of the Infra Electrical Engineering team at Samsung Semiconductor. This role will be responsible for leading the Distribution Engineering team in providing support and knowledge of all Samsung Distribution equipment related to operations, commissioning, Substation, MV/LV Switchgear across the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree required, in related Engineering field, Electrical or Electronics Engineering highly preferred.
  • 7 + years of relevant experience with medium & high voltage electrical distribution.
  • General Knowledge of Generators, Motor Controllers, and VFD's.
  • Knowledgeable in MV Switchgear arc flash protections, Protection Relays
  • Experience in Commissioning, testing, of HV/MV/LV electrical distribution equipment. (Including creation of commissioning procedures etc.)

  • Previous leadership experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leads Development, reviews, and approves SAS site electrical specifications and maintenance procedures related to power distribution for all area facilities (CUB, GCS, FAB, etc.) and their associated electro-mechanical loads and backup systems.
  • Supervision of engineering scope and preparation of engineering designs, drawings, circuit maps, control diagrams, charts, databases, plans, and other documents for transmission and distribution systems, generation and substation facilities
  • Delegates and reviews the implentation of operation responses, safety procedures, guidelines, and operating manuals for all Samsung Electrical Systems within the facility.
  • Develop and maintain Samsung’s Power Distribution System philosophy.
  • Manages complex power system analyses, such as protective coordination, load flow analysis, etc.
  • Facilitates the trending in equipment utilization, capacity and performance
  • Approves Change Point Management (CPM) for equipment
