We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our agile development team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in control system design, electrical integration, and cross-functional collaboration. As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing the control architecture that enables safe, efficient, and intelligent operation of our turbomachinery packages. You will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate business and technical requirements into actionable control system solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Promis-e or similar program for electrical design
  • Experience with gas turbine systems and their operational principles.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of NEC, CE directives, ATEX, and machinery certification standards
  • Experience with Windchill or similar product lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience with control systems (PLC5, RSLogix)
  • Experience with Agile development environments and tools
  • Knowledge of linked/configurable data.
  • Understanding of driven equipment (e.g., compressors, pumps, generators).
  • Familiar with Process & Instrumentation Diagrams

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Electrical Loop Schematics (ELS) and control system layouts.
  • Specify and source electrical components, size cables, and ensure compliance with design standards and system needs.
  • Create bills of material and documentation to support manufacturing, testing, and field deployment.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with global standards (e.g., NEC, CE, ATEX)
  • Potential to develop and refine control logic to meet evolving system and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes and documentation.
  • Support field troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical systems.
  • Interface with Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, and Field.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and peers across the organization.
