About The Position

Trueline is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team specializing in power distribution and systems for industrial & agricultural clients in Minnesota, with comprehensive relocation and a strong base salary of $150k to $200k+ (relevant to experience). This is a high-impact role for an experienced engineer who wants to lead technical work, mentor junior staff, and play a key part in the company’s long-term growth and succession planning. What You'll Do as the Senior Electrical Design Engineer: Design and oversee electrical power distribution systems for industrial and agricultural facilities such as grain terminals and processing plants Serve as a technical lead on projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery Mentor and develop junior engineers and EITs, helping elevate team capability Collaborate directly with clients, providing clear communication and trusted expertise Contribute to process improvements as the company scales and evolves Support business growth by helping evaluate and prioritize incoming project opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required)
  • 8-12 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on power distribution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively/willing to get P.E. licensure (paid by the company)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and team members
  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, approachable working style
  • Ability to work effectively in an in-office environment within a small, close-knit community

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in agricultural, grain handling, or energy-related projects
  • Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment
  • Interest in long-term leadership or ownership opportunities
