About The Position

As a member of a multi-disciplined engineering team, this resource will function as a hands-on engineer, providing electrical and controls expertise for project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up as related to industrial controls for clients in multiple locations. Position is based in Jackson, TN with occasional travel (up to 25% depending on the project). Relocation assistance provided!

Requirements

  • BSEE or related degree preferred
  • Must have experience in a food manufacturing facility
  • Previous experience functioning in a lead role
  • Application of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), applied knowledge of NFPA 70E and UL-508
  • Design and analysis of electric power systems for standard installations (0-600V).
  • Applied knowledge of power and control system drawing types, including: P&IDs, Loop Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Conduit Layouts, Elementary & Connection Schematics, and Panel/Enclosure Layouts.
  • Control System Electrical Design experience, including proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Rockwell platform experience
  • Experience with the following: AC VFDs, servo programming, PLC, HMI and related software. Must be proficient at programming these items.
  • Detailed understanding of Process Control and Automation Concepts
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Provides guidance and direction to team members
  • Significant client interfacing experience
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Field commissioning and start-up experience
  • Conversant with the latest technology trends in the Industry
  • Experience Level: 7 +years
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Motor Vehicle Report, Drug Test, and Background check in accordance of company policies
  • Essential Functions for Site Field Work: Walking 1 mile+, Climbing, Bending, Lifting
  • U.S. Work Authorization

Responsibilities

  • Use engineering principles to design and/or improve the client's manufacturing controls systems in various types of industrial environments.
  • Follow client defined standards and scope and maintain communication and interface with appropriate client contacts.
  • Responsible for producing detailed scope of work documents and design.
  • Develop project estimates and manage local efforts.
  • Lead the integration efforts on projects and produce Engineering Information packages.
  • Participate on multiple projects across the site while interacting with project managers.
  • Provide startup and commissioning support.
