Requirements

• Understanding of medical terminology, infectious control techniques, and age-related acuity levels.
• Minimum three years of EKG experience in the acute care setting.
• Knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias.
• Experience in recognition of arrhythmia.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Title 22 and JCAHO standards.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
• Ability to instruct others in the use of equipment and performance of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs, Holter monitors, and data management under general supervision.
• Possess technical knowledge and clinical expertise to perform electrocardiograms and Holter monitor testing.
• Responsible for Holter monitor scanning and assisting in the stress lab when needed.
• Act as the superuser for the ECG management system database.
• Process and teach physicians to read ECGs online.
