Roche is seeking a dedicated Senior SHE (Safety, Health, & Environmental) Specialist to lead efforts in identifying risks, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety across our operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional SHE experience, preferably in regulated or science-driven industries.
  • Proven track record managing complex SHE projects and developing enterprise-wide programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial hygiene practices, incident management, and SHE risk assessments.
  • Experience with industrial, laboratory, and office environments in managing SHE risks and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and utilize SHE data to drive safety initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of working effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, review, and revision of SHE programs, ensuring compliance with regulations through technical writing.
  • Lead or facilitate investigations of SHE incidents, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Manage action plans for incident follow-up to ensure effective resolution.
  • Compile and report SHE-related metrics and data as needed or assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local SHE regulations in designated areas.
  • Provide leadership and resources to implement and sustain SHE programs, processes, or systematic changes.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and conduct SHE meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote safety awareness and adherence.
