About The Position

The Senior Educational Program Administrator at the University of Connecticut plays a crucial role in providing consulting and educational services focused on organizational development, quality improvement, and program development within the School of Social Work. This position involves advising executives, developing training programs, managing budgets, and ensuring effective service delivery in collaboration with the Department of Social Services (DSS).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a social, behavioral science, or related discipline and 6-7 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of experience as an advanced/senior team member or project lead.
  • Background in organizational development, curriculum development, teaching, and/or training.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ImpaCT and Health Insurance Exchange (HIX).
  • Excellent project management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop, plan, organize, and facilitate workshops.
  • Experience presenting information to diverse groups.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct assessments/research and analyze data.
  • Experience managing and leading project teams.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Medicaid Programs including Long Term Services and Support Services (LTSS).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advisor to DSS executives and managers regarding organizational development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with partners to align workforce and services within their area of leadership and professional development.
  • Recruit qualified participants to the program and assess the educational needs of the target population.
  • Provide professional development counseling to DSS staff and monitor trainee progress.
  • Develop and administer workshops, training programs, and conferences in accordance with DSS program goals.
  • Manage a complex web-based system for program registration and training records.
  • Manage approved budget for the program and prepare budget reports and projections.
  • Collect and analyze DSS service data and evaluate service effectiveness.
  • Serve as a resource to students, staff, and state legislators on DSS program policies and regulations.
  • Research and provide innovative organizational and educational models to management.
  • Oversee administrative and support functions for service area and manage DSS project teams.
  • Train and evaluate the effectiveness of DSS staff and make staffing recommendations.
  • Infuse training curricula with multicultural principles to enhance responsiveness.
  • Represent DSS on committees and present at conferences.
  • Manage special projects for the School of Social Work.
