We are seeking a Senior Administrative Engineer to work with our Government clients managing operations for their Microsoft business application and collaboration ecosystems—centered on Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI administration), and Microsoft 365 with an emphasis on SharePoint Online experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years hands-on administration with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (tenant admin, environment strategy, ALM, DLP, CoE, Dataverse).
  • Hands-on SharePoint Online administration experience (tenant settings, site provisioning/architecture, permissions, taxonomy, search, migration, and governance).
  • Strong experience across Microsoft 365 services—especially SharePoint (priority), plus Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Practical expertise with ALM for Power Platform/Dynamics (managed solutions, pipelines, connection references, deployment automation).
  • Proficient with PowerShell, CLI for Microsoft 365, PnP PowerShell, Admin Connectors, and automation scripting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security/compliance: DLP, sensitivity/retention labels, eDiscovery, records management, audit.
  • Experience with integrations using Power Automate, Logic Apps, service principals, Azure resources, and Graph; understanding of connector governance.
  • Proven ITIL change, incident, and problem management experience; strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Active Top-Secret government security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint advanced content governance.
  • Familiarity with SPFx solution lifecycle and impact on admin governance (awareness rather than developer-heavy).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices (e.g., Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions for pipeline-based ALM).
  • Experience with Records Management, teams provisioning automation, and site lifecycle automation.
  • Background in license optimization and cost controls for M365/Power Platform/D365.
  • Knowledge of Power BI tenant administration and workspace governance.
  • Experience supporting Dynamics 365 modules (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance & Operations) and ISV solutions.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Administrator Associate (PL-400/PL-600/PL-200 context awareness; PL-600 or PL-400 for solutioning a plus)
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals/Associate (role-specific like CRM/ERP apps)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator (SC-400) or Security Engineer (SC-200)
  • ITIL Foundation (or higher)

Responsibilities

  • Lead tenant-level administration for Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 with a strong emphasis on SharePoint Online governance, information architecture, and compliance.
  • Define and implement environment strategy (e.g., Dev/Test/Prod), ALM (solutions, pipelines), naming standards, and DLP policies for Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Establish and manage Center of Excellence (CoE) practices (usage insights, maker onboarding, guardrails, app risk scoring, analytics).
  • Partner with Security/Compliance to implement role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege models, Conditional Access, sensitivity/retention labels, eDiscovery, and records management.
  • Administer Dynamics 365 (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing, or Finance/SCM) and Dataverse: solutions, security roles, business units, auditing, plug-in/service principals coordination.
  • Coordinate application lifecycle (managed/unmanaged solutions), release schedules, hotfixes, and regression readiness; ensure non-prod parity and backup/restore procedures.
  • Monitor performance and capacity (API limits, request rates, storage), optimize environments, and manage integrations.
  • Govern Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages: environment policies, connectors strategy (standard vs. premium), data loss prevention, licensing optimization, and usage analytics.
  • Manage automated deployments (ALM pipelines) and oversee solution-aware flows and connection references.
  • Run the maker program: standards, guardrails, solution reviews, and escalation pathways.
  • Administer Power BI tenant settings in coordination with BI governance (if within scope).
  • SharePoint Online administration: tenant settings, site provisioning, hub site architecture, content types, managed metadata, search, and permission models aligned to least privilege.
  • Design and maintain information architecture (navigation, hub/spoke models, taxonomy) to optimize findability, lifecycle, and governance.
  • Drive migration and consolidation projects (SPMT, Migration Manager, Mover, third-party tools), validate content mappings, and ensure post-migration remediation.
  • Implement and maintain SharePoint Premium/Syntex (if applicable): document understanding, content processing, and advanced governance scenarios.
  • Provide standards and patterns for Teams-connected SharePoint sites and lifecycle automation (PnP/CLI for Microsoft 365, site templates, provisioning).
  • Oversee search schema, query rules, result sources, and modern web part/content experiences.
  • Coordinate integrations across Azure services (Azure AD/Entra ID, Key Vault, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Functions, API Management), Microsoft Graph, and approved third-party platforms.
  • Ensure end-to-end security and compliance: Conditional Access, MFA, privileged identity management (PIM), audit logging, and incident response playbooks.
  • Partner with InfoSec/Compliance on Purview policies, Data Lifecycle, and DLP enforcement across Power Platform, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange.
  • Establish monitoring and observability (Admin Centers, CoE dashboards, Azure Monitor, message center), and drive proactive maintenance and capacity planning.
  • Define backup/restore, DR/BCP procedures for Dataverse/Power Platform/SharePoint content and configurations.
  • Lead problem management (root-cause analysis), change management (ITIL), release cadence, and stakeholder communications.
  • Provide Tier-3 escalation support and mentor administrators and citizen developers.
  • Partner with Teams, OneDrive, Exchange/Viva owners to deliver cohesive collaboration experiences.
  • Create documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles; deliver enablement workshops for admins, makers, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to roadmaps, platform assessments, license planning, and budget forecasts.
