About The Position

RIVA Solutions is pursuing a highly visible federal digital transformation initiative focused on the modernization, governance, and continuous improvement of an enterprise Drupal-based web platform. This mission-critical platform supports large-scale public engagement, content operations, and integrated digital services within a complex federal environment. The program emphasizes scalable CMS architecture, accessibility compliance (Section 508), secure DevSecOps practices, performance optimization, and sustainable digital governance. The Senior Drupal Developer will play a key technical leadership role in ensuring the platform remains secure, compliant, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards. RIVA Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Drupal Developer to serve as a technical leader on a large-scale enterprise Drupal platform supporting a federal program. This individual will design, build, and maintain Drupal CMS architecture, custom modules, and system integrations while ensuring platform stability, accessibility compliance, and security posture. The role requires strong architectural thinking, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to lead peer reviews and mentor other developers. The Senior Drupal Developer will collaborate closely with Product Management, UX teams, DevSecOps engineers, and federal stakeholders to ensure the platform delivers secure, scalable, and user-centered digital experiences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 6+ years of professional experience developing websites in Drupal.
Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining enterprise Drupal CMS architecture.
Experience building and maintaining custom Drupal modules.
Experience implementing and maintaining system integrations using RESTful APIs and web services.
Strong knowledge of Drupal security best practices and patch management.
Experience ensuring and validating Section 508 accessibility compliance.
Experience conducting peer code reviews and mentoring development teams.
Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and modern development workflows.
Experience supporting federal or regulated digital environments.
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Security Clearance.

Responsibilities
