Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description: SENIOR DRAINAGE ENGINEER Work as part of a team to lead drainage design for FDOT projects in Florida. Provide analysis and design solutions for complex drainage issues, and provide oversight for drainage design, detailing and/or review during the planning, design and construction phases of FDOT and municipal transportation projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead drainage design for FDOT and municipal transportation projects in Florida from conception to completion in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule. Develop drainage concepts and performs/oversees hydrologic and hydraulic analysis. Prepares drainage calculations, reports and design plans in accordance with FDOT standards. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders/agencies, other engineering disciplines and internal team members during the life of a project, and has the ability to communicate high-level concepts effectively. Understand applicable regulatory criteria, and develop permit applications to obtain Environmental Resource Permits (ERP) for projects. Mentor junior engineers and EIs to foster professional growth and teamwork. Provide Quality Control reviews when necessary. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering EI (required), ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida within 6 months 8+ years of drainage design experience, including demonstrated experience in FDOT drainage design Proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or Microstation Excellent verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with clients clients Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills Must be able to effectively prioritize and assign work as well as meet deadlines in an organized manner Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • EI (required), ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida within 6 months
  • 8+ years of drainage design experience, including demonstrated experience in FDOT drainage design
