Take ownership of complex residential drafting and construction plan development, mentor other drafters, and contribute to high-level design and production work.

Requirements

• 5+ years in residential drafting (new home construction preferred)
• Associates in CAD or residential architecture preferred
• Strong AutoCAD skills required and Revit preferred
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and drafting software

Responsibilities

• Prepare & revise construction plans using standard layouts, sketches, and specifications.
• Review plans to ensure they meet municipal requirements and internal drafting standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and vendors on truss, beam, and plan approvals.
• Maintain & update the company's standard plan library.
• Lead & participate in plan reviews to keep projects accurate and on track.
• Assist with project assignments and support the development of newer drafters.
• Step in for the Director of Residential Design and Drafting when needed.
