About The Position

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in Range operations and maintenance (O&M); weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M; technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business. At Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) , southwest of Salt Lake City Utah, SA-TECH supports the West Desert Test Center (WDTC), the nation’s designated Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) for chemical and biological defense. The WDTC plans, conducts, evaluates, reports, and supports Chemical and Biological (CB) and non-CB testing efforts for the Department of Defense (DoD), other federal agencies, private industries, and foreign Governments (e.g., environmental assessment/impact evaluations, weapons and munitions demilitarization, chemical energetics/homemade explosive testing, unmanned systems testing, direct and indirect fire weapons testing, hazard assessments, and technical/logistical support of operations at DPG). At DPG, SA-TECH is looking to bring a Senior Test Manager for Chemical Testing, Test Support and Special Program Divisions onto our team to support program efforts and success at this major DoD test facility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science, business management, or engineering and five (5) years of experience in project management; or equivalent years of experience with direct government or contractor supporting government contracts.
Able to serve as a customer point of contact for field testing/training activities requiring support.
Must have supervisory experience in directing subordinate personnel in the performance of testing.
Must have experience developing test plans, cost estimates, and detailed technical approaches.
Familiar with coordinating plans, statements of work, and operating budgets.
Experience with the development of work breakdown structures and implementing earned value management practices.
A commitment to maintaining a productive and collaborative working environment.
Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required and you must have a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain this clearance throughout employment.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical, as well as periodic retests.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver’s Record, and a Criminal Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

Direct subordinate personnel in the performance of testing.
Develop customized test plans, cost estimates, and detailed technical approaches.
Design and develop schedules, methods, devices, and equipment, as required, to provide test data and achieve operation’s objectives.
Coordinate plans, statements of work, and operating budgets.
Develop work breakdown structures and implement earned value management practices.
Act as primary customer contact for program activity.
Manage all aspects of assigned projects.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
