About The Position

The Senior Retail District Manager reports to the Sr. Vice President of Sales Operations and Marketing. Responsible for all Sales and Operations activities assigned to stores and eCommerce, with an emphasis on maximizing sales, donations, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Sales & Operations background helpful.
  • Five- seven years of multi-unit retail supervisory experience required; thrift experience preferred.
  • Five- seven years of eCommerce supervisory experience required
  • Demonstrate experience in sales, online and store operations.
  • New store opening and remodel experience required.
  • Comprehension of forecasting, sales projections, and budgets.
  • Understanding of current retail and eCommerce trends.
  • Excellent Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License; clean, current DMV printout, and have current car insurance. Must provide own transportation to use on company business.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for over 10 million dollars in sales revenue.
  • Drives sales through store management via acceptance of donations and donation processing. Ensures the general operation of stores and eCommerce locations meets company standards.
  • Ensures store and eCommerce standards are met in the areas of customer service, safety, merchandise presentation, donation processing, housekeeping, payment processing, and business reporting.
  • Assists with the preparation of annual sales and expense budgets.
  • Manages store labor standards while maintaining payroll budget.
  • Ensures production goals are met to achieve sales/revenue objectives.
  • Maximizes floor layouts to achieve sales per square foot goals.
  • Develops and implements pricing and sales strategies.
  • Coordinates delivery and pickup, by transportation as needed.
  • Identifies and resolves supplies and equipment needs and maintenance issues.
  • Approves accounting and timekeeping records.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coaching, development and evaluation of direct reports.
  • Provides training to store and eCommerce management to recognize value of merchandise.
  • Drives positive monthly sales budget goals and course corrects departments that do not meet sales budget.
  • Ensures that all locations are appropriately covered to open and close daily.
  • Ensures staffing is maintained and sustained with talented leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
