SENIOR DISTRIBUTION ANALYST (CHARLOTTE, NC)

About The Position

The primary duty of this position is to provide more complex analytical support for broader team. Duties include compiling, organizing, and interpreting data used to inform and engage senior leaders from each of our stakeholders. Position will also include responsibility to manage tactical distributors and/or tactical elements of strategic relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
2-5 years’ work experience in data analytics or Foodbuy/Compass.
Analytical skills as well as the ability to simultaneously manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Project Management skills / experience
Strong analytical skills using large data sets.
Strong Excel skills as well as intermediate proficiency in Word and Power Point. PowerBI preferred.

Nice To Haves

ISM Foodservice Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Support the development of category plans, joint business plans and presentations for key strategic meetings for assigned suppliers.
Complete budget forecasting and tracking of revenue against plan.
Conduct income analysis, make forecast changes or perform any other duties supporting category income drivers for assigned suppliers.
Participate in monthly vendor AR calls and maximize supplier payment terms per Compass working capital goals.
Develop tools and processes that help to drive value in contracting, conversion, and revenue generation.
Complete ad hoc analysis, market trends, marketing/communication opportunities and analysis
Develop communication and implementation of program updates adhering to processes and timelines.
Proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations as they relate to contract optimization.
Communicates term set updates to operations.
Assist the team with managing and supporting distributor relationships.
