About The Position

Join Qualcomm’s Display Software Test Engineering team to deliver industry‑leading visual experiences across Qualcomm Snapdragon products. As a Senior Display Software Test Engineer, you will architect test strategies, build sophisticated automation, drive feature validation, and ensure world‑class display quality across Snapdragon platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years experience in software testing, test automation, or display/multimedia validation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
  • Experience with display interfaces or standards such as MIPI‑DSI, HDCP, HDR, DP CTS, MST, DSC, HDMI, etc.
  • Experience in automation development, CI systems, and test framework design.
  • Strong understanding of test methodology, debugging, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce).
  • Experience with display validation on embedded or heterogeneous compute platforms.
  • Background in developing embedded SW test frameworks and systems.
  • Experience with UI‑based artifact detection or advanced automation tooling.
  • Familiarity with hardware bring‑up and system‑level debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test strategies, test plans, and automation frameworks to validate advanced display technologies including DisplayPort, MIPI‑DSI, HDCP, HDR, DSC, VRR, MST, HDMI, VGA/DVI, and other display subsystems.
  • Design and implement automated test systems that support continuous integration and maintain robust, scalable validation flows.
  • Execute automated and manual validation across Snapdragon platforms, analyze logs, triage failures, and drive issues to closure with display, multimedia, and platform software teams.
  • Create tools and automation scripts using C/C++/Python for test development, debugging, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to align test methodologies and share frameworks.
  • Own test coverage and quality for new display features from early bring‑up to commercial readiness.
  • Provide data‑driven reporting on quality, risk, regressions, and readiness.
  • Continuously evaluate new test approaches and automation improvements.
