Under Direction of the Vice President, leads assigned service division, including oversight of clinical, programmatic, budget, staffing, operations, regulatory compliance, and provision of services. Senior Director of Substance Use/Continuum Services Provide leadership within our substance use disorder programs including Acute Treatment Services ( ATS), Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS), Transitional Support Services (TSS), Motivating Youth Recovery (MYR) . Responsible for daily operations of acute inpatient and residential substance use treatment services ranging from ASAM l evel 3.7 to ASAM level 3.1. Coordinate with program managers on assurance of clinical services being provided including topics covered in required groups, individual treatment and required in-service trainings . 5 years of related experience in management of substance use treatment.

Requirements

Master’s degree and independent licensure (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist) in a behavioral health field: psychology, social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy .
Satisfactory CORI background check
Driving is not a requirement.
Five years of relevant work experience in identified service area /population .
Five years of experience providing supervision and oversight of a program within a treatment setting.
Experience providing direct clinical care to clients in a mental health and/or substance use treatment setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organized, adaptive to change, comfortable in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
Able to make data driven decisions, collaborate and consult with a team, and delegate when appropriate .
Current valid United States driver’s license and ability to provide automobile to travel between work locations.

Responsibilities

Provide s supervision/consultation to assigned individuals and/or groups to advance clinical care . Provide s regular, documented clinical and/or administrative supervision of management and staff.
Evaluates staffing patterns and coverage, programmatic structure, treatment interventions, and services to ensure safety, security, and quality care to clients.
Ensure s regular annual and supplemental professional development training classes are provided to and atte nded / completed by managers and division staff. Develop s , p rovides and facilitates training for staff and managers that align with standards of practice, compliance requirements and the agency’s strategic plan.
Coordinate s facility compliance with licensing regulations and accreditation standards; coordinate s upkeep of environment of care.
Serves as a liaison among other divisions and administrative departments to facilitate consistent and effective communication around program needs. Participates in assigned agency and system wide initiatives and workgroups.
Collaborates with other division leaders and administrative departments to d esign, d evelop , implement, monitor and update client centered workflows and practices that are efficient, cost effective, and evidence based.
Foster s and maintain s relationships with external stakeholders and represent s CHL at all local and statewide meetings, coalitions, and other stakeholder events . Develops referral pathways to and from community providers to support access to care for clients.
Under the direction of and in conjunction with the Vice President, respond s to RFRs (Requests for Response) , program renewals, grant proposals, implement and overs ee s new prog rams as funds are made available.
Develops and implements plans for continuity of program management responsibilities and program operations when key positions are vacant. Provide s on-call support and consultation to program staff/leadership as needed during program operating hours.
D irects and supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training . Makes recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions . Resolves grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities.
Develops and recommends the budgets for the areas managed. Manages activities to assure financial goals are met.
Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems. Evaluates the impact of solutions to ensure goals are achieved . Provide support to managers and staff to meet metrics in their programs and services.
Provides effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the staff for effective teamwork and motivation and fosters the effective integration of efforts with system-wide initiatives.

Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies including CARF ( Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities ) , DPH (Department of Public Health), DMH (Depart of Mental Health) and DEEC ( Department for Early Education and Care) . Develops and maintains procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements . Follow notification policies and procedures including all internal, CARF, UMMH, and external regulatory, licensing, and defined stakeholders.
Ensures compliance with performance specifications for assigned services.
Ensures that the department complies with entity established policies, quality assurance programs, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
Ensures adequate equipment and supplies for department .
Develops and maintains established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives .
Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Performs similar or related duties as or directed. All responsibilities are essential job functions.
