About The Position

The Senior Director of Operations is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and organizational efficiency across the technical division. Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Industrial Technical Solutions, this leader oversees solution development, project management, learning operations, and oversees the Tampa Facility operations, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and client needs. The role requires strong financial acumen, industrial/technical experience, operational expertise, and the ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in technical, learning, or professional services environments.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, scaling operations, and delivering results across multiple projects.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, change management, and business development.
  • Experience with digital/mobile learning solutions, LMS operations, and analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), MS Project, and ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel domestically

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to design and implement business strategies that support growth and innovation.
  • Establish and enforce processes, operating procedures, and performance metrics to achieve financial and operational targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize efficiency and scalability.
  • Oversee risk management for client contracts, partnerships, and operational initiatives.
  • Lead budget planning, forecasting, and revenue recognition in collaboration with corporate finance.
  • Monitor financial performance, ensuring adherence to budget goals and service-level agreements.
  • Build and maintain internal financial and productivity reports for senior management and project teams.
  • Support business development activities, including pricing strategies, proposal development, and vendor management.
  • Direct and mentor managers and staff across operations, project management, and learning technologies.
  • Partner with HR and Recruiting to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent while minimizing turnover.
  • Oversee performance management, compensation practices, and career development programs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the division.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between sales, operations, and technical departments.
  • Support customer-focused initiatives, including quality control, culture, and safety measures.
