We are looking for a Senior Director/Vice President of Business Development - Military & Veterans Health, who will lead all aspects of market development, capture, and strategic growth for rockITdata within the Military Health System and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This executive will define and execute a growth strategy that positions rockITdata as the go-to SDVOSB for data, AI, and modernization services across the federal health ecosystem - driving opportunity pipeline creation, partner alignment, and pursuit execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading Strategic Captures for technologies AND related services with the Federal Government.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence – both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in building and maintaining relationships with a track record of success in converting those relationships to transacted contracts.
  • Superior complex problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proactive workstyle with the ability to develop strategies, plans, and drive opportunities to close.
  • Proficiency with GovWin, and federal opportunity tools and databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Capture experience with a large systems integrator.
  • Active involvement in HIMSS, AFCEA or other industry forums.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a business development strategy aligned to rockITdata’s growth goals.
  • Serve as a thought leader across the company and the federal health ecosystem.
  • Own the capture lifecycle — from identification and qualification through proposal and close including leading the proposal process from end-to-end.
  • Maintain sales stage and opportunity updates in rockITdata’s pipeline application.
  • Build organizational capacity with others while acting as a motivational coach to grow other team members as rockITdata scales.
  • Collaborate with rockITdata’s contracts department to ensure all NDAs, RFIs, RFPs etc. are completed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Innovation teams to drive brand awareness, campaigns, and thought leadership content within Military & Veterans Health.
