About The Position

Introduction to role: Are you ready to lead the charge in strategic pricing management? You'll be at the forefront of developing and owning list pricing strategies for pipeline assets and evolving price strategies for in-line products. Your mission? Optimize patient access and revenue! Based in Alexion’s Boston headquarters, you'll report directly to the Executive Director, US Strategic Contracting & Pricing. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of pricing and/or transferable experience in a biotech or pharma company.
  • Knowledge of the US payer and provider marketplace and expertise in drug pricing research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex business challenges and recommendations effectively to senior leaders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing U.S. drug list pricing strategies.
  • Project management experience with excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in completing quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex business proposals.
  • High level of experience using Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot tables).
  • Innovative approaches in evolving landscapes.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, MPH, or other advanced degree.
  • BioPharma/Pharmaceutical or Biotech product launch experience.
  • Experience in pricing rare disease therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of list pricing strategies for pipeline assets and price evolution strategies for in-line assets, focusing on patient access, gross-to-net (GTN), and government pricing dynamics (e.g., ASP).
  • Collaborate with Global Market Access to conduct US pricing research and provide strategic list-pricing recommendations for new product launches in the US.
  • Develop and implement a price evolution strategy for in-line products to minimize GTN erosion and maintain net revenue alignment with forecast targets.
  • Evaluate value-based agreement opportunities alongside the Senior Director of Contracting Strategy and HEOR to optimize patient access and financial outcomes.
  • Work with the US Access Strategy & Marketing team to prevent price-value misalignments with payers, ensuring patient access in developing pricing strategies.
  • Stay informed on pricing dynamics and assess the impact of pricing actions on government pricing.
