About The Position

The Senior Director, Shared Services PMO is responsible for establishing, leading, and optimizing the Project Management for Shared Services. This role ensures that strategic initiatives and transformation programs are effectively managed, aligned with business objectives, and deliver value across the organization. This role will oversee project governance, portfolio management, and operational excellence to drive efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance or a related field; MBA or PMP certification preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in project/program management, with a strong background in Shared Services or corporate transformation initiatives
  • Proven experience in leading a PMO or large-scale project management function
  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Experience with project management tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the PMO framework, methodologies, and best practices to ensure successful project execution
  • Establish project governance, standardization, and reporting mechanisms for project tracking and decision-making
  • Ensure alignment of shared services projects with overall corporate strategy and business priorities
  • Provide timely and clear communication on progress with both regional and global stakeholders
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and teams, ensuring effective execution of initiatives
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions
  • Drive operational efficiencies within Shared Services through automation, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Implement KPIs and metrics to measure project success and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pain points and develop scalable solutions
  • Work with other regions to deliver a global SSC initiative while also developing the local (regional) SSC initiatives
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on project performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across business units, IT, finance, HR, and other key areas
  • Develop and deliver executive-level reports and presentations on PMO activities and project progress
  • Manage project resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of personnel and budget
  • Forecast and track project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives and secure necessary approvals
  • Foster decision making around process and site selection to be included in the SSC project
