Role Summary As the Senior Director of Security, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies to protect the organization's assets, employees, and information. This role involves leading a team of security professionals, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into all aspects of the business, respond to security incidents, and continuously improve security protocols. Your expertise in cybersecurity, physical security, and crisis management will be crucial in safeguarding the organization's reputation and operational integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT / Security management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience in implementing and managing security systems and protocols is essential.
Experience with ISO27001 compliance/certification
Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity, IT infrastructure security, risk management, and crisis response.
Strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on expertise in security technologies and tools.
Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to security challenges.

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree, such as a Master's, is highly preferred.
Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or other relevant credentials are highly desirable.
Proven ability to work under pressure, make decisions, and lead teams effectively.

Responsibilities

Global role focused on Mavenir internal / on-prem / hosting security
Maintain a current understanding the IT threat landscape for the industry; identifies applicable risks and define action plans to protect Mavenir
Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations
Ensure compliance with required standards, such as ISO27001, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
Owns security policies, controls and cyber incident response planning
Own identity and access policies and handles company security board
Ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested
Makes sure that cyber security policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced
Run IT Security Operations
Provide training and mentoring to security team members, IT and the rest of the company
Schedule periodic security audits
Lead investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities
Liaison with governmental authorities and customer security contacts on security subjects, including RFP responses.
