About The Position

The Role We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Senior Director – Sales, AAS to drive new business and new logo growth for J.D. Power’s Service Industries portfolio. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, this ‘player-coach’ role combines direct sales execution with team leadership, focusing on tactical strategies to win new clients and expand our market presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, with a track record of new business development and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in direct selling and managing sales professionals.
  • Expertise in Salesforce.com, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and tactical execution skills.
  • Willingness to travel in North America as needed.

  • Experience selling into the utilities and telecom industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Personally prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities ('new logos') across utilities, telecom, media, tech, retail, travel, and hospitality sectors.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and team new business targets.
  • Develop and execute tactical go-to-market plans to drive pipeline growth and accelerate deal velocity.
  • Actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations, modeling best-in-class sales behaviors.
  • Oversee accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking for self and team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Solutions, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing and contract standards.
  • Report sales metrics, market trends, and strategic opportunities to J.D. Power leadership.
  • Champion J.D. Power's values by making the complex simple, starting with trust, and proving it every day.
