Ziosk is looking for a Senior Director - Quality & Test Engineering to lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of software quality assurance, test automation, and lab environments. This role ensures that products and software delivery meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user experience across all stages of development and deployment. This leadership position includes managing and developing a team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test engineering, with 5+ in leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and frameworks.
• Experience managing lab environments for testing across platforms and devices.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and Agile tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and QA best practices across web, cloud, and mobile applications.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on quality metrics and defect trends.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall QA and test automation strategy aligned with product and engineering goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, automation specialists, and lab technicians.
• Establish and achieve goals tied to metrics and KPIs to measure quality, test coverage, and defect trends.
• Oversee test automation frameworks and ensure integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage lab environments for testing hardware, software, and integrated systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, Engineering & Operations to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Selecting and managing 3rd party technologies and vendors to deliver test automation and AI advancements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements where applicable.
