Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is the team behind Microsoft's expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission. SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 11+ years technical engineering experience
• OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience
• OR Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience
• OR equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in leading a large-scale team or taskforce to resolve technical problems and solutions
• Proficient communication and project management skills
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

• 10+ years of experience in working with modern server architectures and/or their subsystems- including GPU, CPU, AI hardware, Memory, Motherboards and methods for root cause analysis and debugging

Responsibilities

• Direct a high-performing team of Quality Engineers
• Implement a comprehensive supplier quality management strategy
• Collaborate with leaders to drive Hardware Quality across platforms
• Provide technical leadership in resolving complex issues with a sense of urgency
• Establish and drive Critical-to-Quality performance metrics to enhance product quality

Benefits

• Base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year
• Different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year
• Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation
