About The Position

The Senior Director – Program Management is part of the Digital Technology (DT) organization in GE Vernova. This DT role covers the Commercial, Marketing & Corporate Strategy functions within the Enterprise Development Growth & Excellence (EDGE) organization and reports to the EDGE CIO. This person is accountable for the end-to-end technology spectrum from digital workspace end-user technologies like laptops & cellphones to enterprise DT applications. The role partners closely with business leaders and functional teams to translate priorities into a balanced delivery portfolio, ensure strong change management and adoption, and run reliable, secure, and cost-effective DT services. This leader owns prioritization, resource planning, project/program execution, vendor management, and budgeting/financial stewardship across the scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Progressive DT leadership experience spanning end-user computing/digital workplace and enterprise application delivery and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading portfolio prioritization, program/project delivery, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and vendor/contract management.
  • Working knowledge of DT service management (Incident/Problem/Change), release management, and operational controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial/energy/manufacturing environments and global, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow (or similar ITSM/SPM tools) for demand, portfolio, and service management.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms (ERP/Finance, HR, Supply Chain) and integration patterns/API management.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP/PRINCE2, SAFe/Agile, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary DT partner for assigned business functions/segments within the EDGE organization; build trusted relationships and maintain an operating rhythm (QBRs/MORs, portfolio reviews, escalation pathways).
  • Translate EDGE business objectives into an actionable roadmap and delivery portfolio; define success metrics tied to business outcomes, reliability, security, and cost.
  • Drive EDGE stakeholder alignment on scope, timing, and tradeoffs; ensure executive-ready communications for status, risks, decisions, and value delivered.
  • Establish and run a transparent demand intake and triage process (new requests, enhancements, defects, regulatory needs).
  • Facilitate prioritization with EDGE business and DT stakeholders; balance run/operate work with change-the-business initiatives.
  • Own portfolio planning across the 2026 approved EDGE DT programs/projects: sequencing, dependency management, benefits tracking, and capacity-based roadmapping.
  • Working with the CTO organization, support end-user technology experience for laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and collaboration solutions.
  • Working with the HQ(EF, D&A, CTO & CISO) Segment DT teams, support EDGE application delivery and operations for assigned enterprise applications, including reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Ensure disciplined release and change management; coordinate major releases, regression testing, cutovers, and hypercare.
  • Drive application modernization and rationalization opportunities (decommission, consolidate, reduce technical debt) in partnership with the HQ and Segment DT teams.
  • Oversee integrations and data flows; coordinate across platform teams to ensure stable interfaces and monitoring.
  • Own organizational change management for DT initiatives: stakeholder analysis, communications planning, training readiness, and adoption measurement.
  • Partner with functional leaders to manage change impacts, mitigate resistance, and sustain new ways of working post go-live.
  • Establish feedback loops (surveys, VOC sessions, usage analytics) and iterate solutions to improve adoption and satisfaction.
  • Ensure consistent delivery practices (Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall as appropriate) with clear scope, milestones, dependencies, and risk management.
  • Own delivery governance: RAID, executive reporting, quality gates, and decision management; drive timely escalation and resolution.
  • Implement standards for documentation, testing, cutover planning, and post-implementation reviews to improve delivery maturity.
