The Senior Director of Practice Operations, Primary Care will be responsible for the overall practice management of US care delivery operations for the Primary Care service line and will lead a team of Practice Managers, Practice Coordinators, and care team staff to ensure the day to day success for a 50 state-licensed multispecialty telemedicine practice. The Senior Director of Practice Operations will execute the strategic plans of Primary Care related to creating a successful patient experience, provision of high quality clinical care, efficient care delivery operations, and financial performance of the various practices. This role requires decision making that will materially affect the overall division and the organization's financial objectives, performance objectives and strategic results. This role will serve as a key collaborator with key external stakeholders and various departments across Teladoc Health, including Clinical Operations, Clinical Quality, Product & Engineering, Marketing / Sales, Analytics, Revenue Cycle, Legal & Compliance, Provider Relations and Credentialing to drive performance initiatives and metrics.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of operational leadership in a multi-specialty practice in a clinic or ambulatory care setting
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Deep understanding and experience working in, developing and/or implementing integrated care models, value-based care models and population health management strategies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of virtual healthcare delivery systems, telehealth regulations, and digital health technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, quality improvement, and managing healthcare clinical operations on a national scale.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a proven ability to inspire and guide a diverse workforce across multiple states.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders nationwide.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and compliance requirements applicable across the United States.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment and to be able to meet deadlines under extreme pressure.
  • Well-organized and a self-motivator with a high Say-Do ratio.
  • Must be able to generate and summarize reports and documents.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operations of the virtual healthcare practice to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Actively lead and motivate care delivery operational team to optimize performance.
  • Sets the tone for accountability and professionalism, both intra and interdepartmentally.
  • Responsible for developing reporting and metric analysis to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Advances operational business design to continually improve the processes around the products and services offered to patients.
  • Co-develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the practice’s growth, financial health, and service quality.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of staff to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Provide leadership and support to clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring adherence to best practices, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and complies with appropriate policies to be evaluated and maintained.
  • Collaborates with Product, Engineering & Training Teams to ensure providers and care teams are educated on new processes and procedures to promote efficiencies and productivity.
  • Assists in managing the provider network across Teladoc Health Medical Group, P.A. (THMG) W2 employed, 1099 contractors and Third Party MSO vendors.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and satisfaction by coordinating with healthcare providers and support staff.
  • Address patient concerns and feedback to improve service delivery.
