The Senior Director, Philanthropy plans, directs, and manages all the philanthropy functions for the Hospital/Clinic serving as the lead philanthropy officer for the location. The Senior Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and/or coordinating all programs and strategies designed to enhance charitable giving to provide additional support to Shriners Children's including following and fulfilling the objectives and goals developed by the Executive Director of Location Philanthropy in conjunction with the Chief Philanthropy Officer and location leadership. Identifies and cultivates prospective donors in the local community from whom to solicit gifts. Nurtures donor relationships through regular contact, communication, and recognition. Develops and maintains relationships with hospital-affiliated Shriners Temples and the local community for the purpose of fundraising. Directs, mentors, trains, and supports a hospital/clinic-based philanthropy staff. The position requires the willingness and ability to travel as needed and the willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends when necessary.
