The Senior Director of Onramps at WGU Academy, an affiliate of Western Governors University, plays a pivotal role in developing, launching, growing, operating, and improving academic onramps for WGU's Schools: Business, Technology, Health, and Education. This position is responsible for the Onramps profit and loss (P&L) and requires collaboration across multiple WGU organizations and teams to determine new offerings. The Senior Director will deliver a world-class student experience that encourages onramp completion and successful matriculation to credential programs, ultimately leading to graduation. Reporting to the President of WGU Academy, this role will work closely with the Chief Academic Officer, school leaders, and various stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness in achieving the university's mission. In this role, the Senior Director will engage regularly with WGU's Schools of Health, Education, Technology, and Business, as well as with the President, CFO, COO, and CAO. The position requires innovation in Onramp programs, collaborating with leadership to design, execute, and scale programs that improve academic readiness. The Senior Director will also work with marketing and enrollment teams to create a unified enrollment experience, providing targeted recommendations to students based on their unique qualifications and objectives. Accountability is key, as the Senior Director will report on student results weekly, monthly, and quarterly, focusing on successful matriculation and credential completion. The role involves developing metrics in partnership with research teams and school leaders to assess the impact of Onramp programs, ensuring continuous improvement aligned with WGU's objectives. Leadership by influence is essential, as the Senior Director will guide and coach others within WGU Academy, emphasizing the development of soft skills and enhancing the capabilities of team members across the university. The Senior Director will represent WGU in external forums, building networks with educational and professional organizations to integrate external innovations into WGU's short-term credential programs. Financial management is also a critical aspect, as the Senior Director will refine a five-year vision for Onramp programs, ensuring they are well-funded and resources are allocated according to strategic priorities. This role may also involve performing other related duties as assigned.
