We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Subcontracts to join our Contracts and Procurement team in Poway, CA. This position is responsible for the overall execution and direction of the Subcontract Management Teams, including the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services under a government or commercial contract(s). Directs the preparation of bid packages, conducts bidder conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and manages resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Consults with the contract administration and purchasing departments to develop subcontract policies and procedures. Ensures subcontracts are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, identifies and advises management regarding subcontracts risks, and coordinates internal and external audits. Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate management and/or professional staff. May be responsible for decisions that have serious impact on overall success of corporation.
