As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within Connected Commerce Technology, you lead multiple technical areas, manage the activities of multiple departments, and collaborate across technical domains. Your expertise is applied cross-functionally to drive the adoption and implementation of technical methods within various teams and aid the firm in remaining at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.

Requirements

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ year of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise and more broadly across the organization
Deep expertise in core banking systems, payment processing, regulatory requirements, and financial services technology best practices.
Strong hands-on engineering foundation in Java, Spring, JMS, Webservices integration patterns leveraging JSON, Swagger, etc.
Expertise in both SQL and NoSQL technologies such Oracle, Cassandra, Cockroach, and big data platforms (Hadoop, Snowflake, etc.)
Proficient with modern frameworks, microservices architecture, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices; experienced in Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and contemporary SDLC.
Good understanding and hands on experience with cloud-based software deployments including AWS, Azure, and others.
Demonstrated success implementing enterprise ready systems and platforms and continuous improvement methodologies with measurable gains in team productivity and delivery quality.
Proven track record leading complex, multi-workstream initiatives with distributed global teams.
Exceptional stakeholder management across time zones and cultures; adept at influencing senior executives, collaborating globally with peers, and inspiring high-performing teams.
Combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution; thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments; brings adaptability, structured problem-solving, and resilience.

Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives

Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives

Implement agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices to accelerate development cycles.
