About The Position
Binghamton University is seeking a Senior Director of Facilities Planning to oversee and manage design and construction management services for capital projects and large critical maintenance projects on the Binghamton University main campus in Vestal and adjacent Innovative Technologies Complex (ITC), the Health Sciences campus in Johnson City, and University Downtown Center in Binghamton. The Senior Director will also oversee the design and construction of a new battery prototyping facility being built in Johnson City. This role requires providing leadership and technical expertise in all aspects of planning, design, and construction of academic, residential, athletic, and research facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements of the State University of New York (SUNY) and other external authorities. The Senior Director will manage a team that includes a Director of Design, a Director of Planning & Construction Management, and a Staff Assistant, along with a design staff of licensed architects and engineers.
