As a Senior Director of Pharmacy you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws at both locations. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed-upon programs with assistance from a full support team. You will assist with the security of the pharmacies and controlled substances, assist in the recruitment and hiring of pharmacy staff, ensure all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements are being met, ensure the provision of optimal services, and oversee Directors of Pharmacy at Mon Marion Neighborhood Hospital, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, and Webster Memorial Hospital as well as other hospital personnel to enhance financial performance. Requirements

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current Pharmacist license in good standing in applicable state.
  • 5+ years experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services.
  • Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology.
  • Business acumen including profit/loss understanding, contract negotiations, and GPO function.
  • Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics.

Nice To Haves

  • PharmD degree.
  • 3+ years of recent Pharmacy Director experience in a complex health system.
