About The Position

The Senior Director of Operations is a critical strategic leadership role responsible for the overall operational efficacy, standardization, and future readiness of the La Porte County Family YMCA. This position is designed for a dynamic leader to optimize current association-wide processes while simultaneously playing a pivotal role in planning for new facilities. The Director will initially focus on systems integrations and operational consistency across all existing branches and programs, with the clear progression plan to transition into the dedicated Branch Director of the new La Porte YMCA facility upon its completion and opening.

Requirements

Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must maintain a current motor vehicle license and acceptable driving record that meets YMCA standards.
5+ years of experience in multi-site operational leadership or general management, preferably within the YMCA or non-profit, fitness, hospitality, or recreation industries, with a proven track record in membership and program growth.
Proven track record of standardizing processes, improving operational efficiency, and managing facilities.
Experience with strategic planning implementation, performance measurement, and comprehensive budget management (formation and oversight).
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams through change and transition periods.
Excellent project management skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and strong analytical skills.
Bachelor's degree required
Required trainings: a. Within 30 days of hire: Child Abuse Prevention (West Bend online). b. Within 30 days of hire: Blood Borne Pathogens (West Bend online). c. Within 60 days of hire: CPR and First Aid d. Within 90 days of hire: Listen First and Y Welcome
Proficient in all standard business software including Google platforms and Microsoft Office.
