About The Position

The Sandra and Leon Levine Jewish Community Center is a non-profit, social service agency founded upon Jewish ethics and values. The Center provides and initiates diversified social, educational, recreational and cultural programs within a Jewish setting. The JCC is a partner in serving the community, is affiliated with the JCC Association of North America and a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte. The Levine JCC Senior Director of Membership & Marketing will support and engage with all parts of the organization to provide leadership, strategy, and internal and external communications solutions. The program areas include, but are not limited to, Adults, Athletics, Fitness & Wellness, Aquatics, Summer Camp, Community Engagement, Philanthropy, Art & Culture Programs & Festivals, Jewish Life, Infant and Toddler programming, and Youth and Early Childhood Enrichment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, marketing, advertising or a related field, or commensurate experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing and brand management in a nonprofit organization.
  • Proven project and time management and goal setting skills.
  • Excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Customer service orientation with excellent listening, communication project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with desktop/artistic programs; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Jewish community broadly and the mission of the Levine JCC.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for long-range and current year marketing planning, financial management, and strategic development.
  • Provide organizational leadership in marketing, membership, and promotional activities.
  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies driving membership growth and retention.
  • Monitor market trends, analyze competitive landscape, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Serve as staff liaison to assigned agency and Board committees.
  • Oversee creation and production of all printed and online communications.
  • Maintain consistent messaging and branding throughout the agency.
  • Plan and oversee advertising, promotion, and communication activities across all channels.
  • Implement Style Guide and maintain branding standards.
  • Manage internal agency communications.
  • Create talking points, press releases, and media relations communications.
  • Position the Levine JCC as a community thought leader in Charlotte.
  • Develop and execute membership strategy focused on acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Optimize the member journey across digital and in-center interactions.
  • Drive sales and retention performance through established KPIs.
  • Translate member insights into relevant programs and experiences.
  • Provide oversight for all membership sales and service functions.
  • Supervise, support and develop staff in Marketing and Membership & Guest Services Departments.
  • Provide training on marketing best practices, tools, and branding standards.
  • Model relationship-building skills and promote inclusion within the team.
  • Collect and analyze data from media channels to refine communications strategy.
  • Drive strategic insights through advanced analytics and market research.
  • Establish metrics and achieve key marketing and engagement goals.
  • Utilize CRM and analytics tools to track membership trends.
  • Develop and analyze monthly membership statistical reports for the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors.
  • Track and report performance metrics to Executive Leadership.
  • Develop community relationships to respond to events impacting the Jewish community.
  • Cultivate relationships with local media and serve as liaison for all media outlets.
  • Build relationships with community organizations and corporate partners.
  • Represent the organization at community events and outreach initiatives.
  • Develop relationships outside Shalom Park to broaden the JCC's reach.
  • Work with CEO for crisis management/communications when needed.
  • Develop and manage the Marketing and Member & Guest Services Department budgets.
  • Ensure budget alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze financial data and make strategic adjustments.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with program leaders to support initiatives with effective communications.
  • Partner with Chief Impact Officer to design donor communications.
  • Collaborate with CEO and CIO on fundraising and stewardship materials.

Benefits

  • Salary range for this position is $73,000 - $83,000.
