About The Position

The Senior Director of Internal & Executive Communications at USC is responsible for advancing the engagement and community-building goals of University Advancement and the USC Alumni Association. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive internal communication strategies, supporting senior leadership with communication initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the university's philanthropic efforts and brand identity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years' experience in marketing and/or communications.
• Management experience in journalism and public relations.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• 7 years' experience in marketing and/or communications.
• Experience in an internal or executive communications role, preferably for an educational or nonprofit institution.

Responsibilities

• Advances the engagement and community-building goals of University Advancement and the USC Alumni Association.
• Supports the Senior Vice President for Advancement and Associate Senior Vice President for Alumni Relations by developing communication strategies and drafting a variety of messages for internal and external audiences.
• Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive internal communications strategy for USC's advancement community.
• Writes compelling content that advances goals through information and engagement.
• Collaborates with colleagues across the advancement community and university to communicate philanthropic news and university initiatives.
• Serves as the primary writer for SVP and ASVP projects including newsletters, briefings, letters, and talking points.
