About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function and drive initiatives that align with the organization’s long-term business objectives. This executive-level role requires a dynamic leader who combines strategic vision with operational expertise and a hands-on approach to execution. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience across the full spectrum of human resources management, including employee relations, total rewards, compliance, performance management, talent acquisition, organizational development, and HR analytics. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while fostering a high-performance, inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) industry.
  • Proven experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent senior-level HR certification strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and workforce analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Advisory: Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
  • Provide regular executive briefings and strategic recommendations regarding workforce planning, organizational health, and industry trends.
  • Employee Relations & Culture: Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace environment.
  • Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and resolve complex employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Total Rewards & Compensation: Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure programs align with market trends, organizational goals, and budgetary parameters.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee required reporting and mitigate organizational risk through proactive policy management.
  • Performance Management & Development: Lead performance evaluation processes that promote accountability, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement training and professional development programs to support employee growth and succession planning.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Oversee full-cycle recruiting strategy, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection processes.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives to support organizational expansion and acquisitions.
  • HR Operations & Analytics: Leverage HR data and analytics to establish KPIs, measure effectiveness, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
  • Budget & Team Leadership: Develop and manage the HR department budget to ensure responsible allocation of resources.
  • Provide mentorship, leadership, and professional development to HR team members, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
