This role is for a Senior Director of Healthcare Construction located in Nashville, TN, at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital, working full-time, 40 hours per week, during the day shift. Requirements

  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management
  • OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Nice To Haves

  • Manager Certification specializing in Healthcare Facilities preferred. Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) also accepted.
  • Project Mgmt Professional preferred. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) accepted.
  • Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Project Management preferred.
  • Leadership of 5-10 years strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all planning, design, and construction phases, ensuring every project aligns with organizational mission, strategic initiatives, and customer priorities.
  • Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and cash flow while managing internal/external audits and reporting key metrics and risks to leadership.
  • Act as the primary liaison for general contractors, defining contract parameters and ensuring all partners meet strict safety, conduct, and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and business innovation through collaborative partnerships to enhance construction efficiency and service delivery.
  • Lead the full talent lifecycle—including hiring, training, and performance evaluation—to build a high-performing project management staff.
