The Sr. Director, Emergency Services has direct responsibility for the Center for Emergency Medicine system wide. Has overall accountability for the quality of patient care, the monitoring of performance of the nursing staff, the development and management of the budget. Oversees and directs facility managers in the orientation, education, and development of the staff in order to establish the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Contributes to nursing and EHS support of philosophy and objectives and education efforts. Collaborates with physicians, staff, support departments and Service Lines to assure excellence in patient care. The Sr. Director, Emergency Services works directly with the Clinical Administrator for the Center for Emergency Medicine to ensure all financial and quality metrics are achieved. Serves as a member of the Patient Care Services team by administering the operations of a specified division of services as assigned by Senior Management. Further serves as a conduit for the implementation and maintenance of guidelines and visions of Executive Management to ensure quality and customer satisfaction within assigned areas of EHS. Assumes administrative duties as directed. Directs and coordinates the functions of the Center for Emergency Medicine at Erlanger Baroness Campus. Responsible for a continuously improving quality level of patient care service within the Erlanger Health System and to customers within the community. The role may also include direct and indirect patient care. Must possess communication skills (written and verbal), leadership abilities that promote growth and development of employees, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to interact appropriately and effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
