Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field required.
  • At least 8 years of real estate development experience, including 4 years in a management role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep understanding of real estate transactions and related processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and drive results for a medium to large portfolio of multifamily development projects.
  • Lead the development team and collaborate closely with the design team to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Maintain full accountability for projects from entitlements through construction loan closing.
  • Act as the primary liaison with city officials, architects, zoning attorneys, and civil engineers.
  • Collaborate with the Acquisitions Team on financial pro formas with a strong understanding of yield, spread, cap rates, and underwriting principles.
  • Create and manage timelines and cost schedules for due diligence activities.
  • Secure consultant proposals aligned with company and lender objectives.
  • Coordinate entitlement processes and assist legal counsel in resolving title and survey issues.
  • Assess utility availability, infrastructure costs, and conduct site investigations.
  • Support the development of comprehensive project budgets.
  • Coordinate civil and architectural design deliverables.
  • Represent the company at public hearings and meetings to secure approvals and permits.
  • Maintain organized project files and actively mentor team members.
