The Senior Director of Development at the Rory Meyers College of Nursing plays a crucial role in advancing the fundraising efforts of the University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR). This position is responsible for developing, planning, managing, and implementing strategies aimed at increasing both unrestricted and restricted gifts, as well as planned gifts for the College of Nursing and across the University. The Senior Director will manage a strategic donor portfolio, focusing on cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts that range from six to eight figures. This role requires engaging with high-level volunteers through various activities, including the dean's advisory council, and collaborating with volunteer and school leadership to identify new prospects for fundraising. In addition to managing donor relationships, the Senior Director will coordinate engagement opportunities and develop transformational gift opportunities while overseeing successful stewardship planning. Collaboration with other UDAR fundraisers is essential to maximize philanthropic activity and create effective cultivation and solicitation strategies. The position also involves maintaining strong relationships within the College of Nursing and supporting fundraising efforts that align with the mission and values of the University. Given the nature of the role, travel will be required as part of the overall fundraising strategy for the School and the dean's priorities. The position supports a hybrid work arrangement, promoting work-life integration for employees.
