About The Position

This role offers a senior leadership opportunity to shape and drive enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy and architecture in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment. The Senior Director will oversee the design, implementation, and operational effectiveness of cybersecurity programs, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies. You will lead and mentor teams of security architects and engineers while collaborating with business, technology, and infrastructure leaders to mitigate risk, enhance cloud security posture, and support business objectives. This position combines strategic vision with hands-on technical leadership to advance cybersecurity practices and resilience across the organization. It requires a proactive, solutions-focused leader capable of influencing stakeholders, optimizing tools, and strengthening enterprise-wide security capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline.
  • Industry certification required (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in building and leading global cybersecurity programs.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing security architecture and engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity principles including cyber defense, compliance, data protection, application security, OS security, and virtual infrastructure security.
  • Strong experience with cloud security, including AWS, private/public/hybrid cloud, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with risk, security, and audit frameworks (COBIT, COSO, ISO 27001/2, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, AICPA, BITS).
  • Experience adopting Zero Trust architectures and enterprise-scale security initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders, influence cross-functional teams, and foster collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, adaptability, and a proactive approach to achieving program goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise cybersecurity architecture and engineering programs.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to identify risks, assess opportunities, and implement secure solutions.
  • Develop security patterns and guidance to enable secure application and system development.
  • Oversee deployment, integration, and configuration of new cybersecurity solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and standards.
  • Maintain awareness of current threat vectors and optimize security toolsets, including cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor and ambassador for cybersecurity across all business and IT units.
  • Establish and track key metrics to measure cybersecurity program effectiveness and communicate results to leadership.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and promote security awareness across teams, enhancing overall enterprise risk posture.
