About The Position

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Director of Annual Giving Programs to lead and mentor a robust team responsible for strategizing, implementing, and managing multi- and omni-channel annual giving programs. This role focuses on increasing donor acquisition, retention, engagement, participation, and revenue. The successful candidate will strengthen the annual giving program, leveraging emerging AI and digital technology to enhance efficiency and impact. The position is based at the UT Main Campus and is expected to continue indefinitely.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a comprehensive Annual Giving Program that includes direct mail, email, texting, social media, crowdfunding, video, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with the University Development team to support pipeline building and identify major gift prospects for referral and cultivation.
  • Manage a reporting system that provides regular analysis of annual giving effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely, personalized donor acknowledgment and annual giving stewardship processes.
  • Analyze data and develop insights to optimize fundraising results.
  • Utilize metrics to achieve annual giving fundraising goals.
  • Develop strong partnerships across campus to identify and support annual giving opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communication to develop a comprehensive annual giving campaign.
  • Design and execute strategies to maximize donor retention and move entry-level donors to leadership giving levels.
  • Utilize and maintain an annual giving budget to accomplish strategic initiatives.
  • Translate fundraising goals and donor insights into creative briefs.
