Airbus Americas, Inc is looking for a Senior Director, Manufacturing Engineering to join our based in Mobile, AL . The visionary and results-driven Senior Director of Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for the manufacturing strategy and technical operations of the A320 Industrial Flow in the Mobile Manufacturing Site. As part of an extended network of Manufacturing Engineering in Airbus Commercial the person is responsible for bridging the gap between design engineering and full-scale production - ensuring that Production has all the means and methods to produce, test and deliver the A320 from the Assembly Line in accordance to the Design intent. In addition the role oversees the Industrial setup & the deployment of Manufacturing Technologies, drives rigorous Lean initiatives, and ensures that our production lines are optimized for the next generation of aerospace platforms. The role, through its organization, leads a high-performing team of engineers to deliver mission-critical means and methods with uncompromising quality, safety, and efficiency. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.
