About The Position

The Senior Director, Laboratory Services, is responsible for the service line's strategic planning, direction, operations, KPI performance and financial performance of all CentraCare lab services. This role will require a dynamic and visionary leader who is dedicated to advancing lab practice and services, driving operational excellence, and delivering outstanding care experiences for our patients and staff. They will work in a highly matrixed environment creating and implementing vision, strategy, goals, action plans, policies and procedures, ensuring that lab laws and regulatory requirements are met, supporting and implementing objectives that further safety and quality, the patient experience, employee experience, and operational excellence. This position has a system-wide scope and will be responsible for the health and success of strategic ventures and partnerships outside of CentraCare that further lab services and objectives. The Senior Director will utilize high reliability and CentraCare Operating System best-practices and methods throughout their work and span of control. Building and sustaining long-term, thriving relationships and working in a highly dynamic and collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders is an essential expectation of this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience required.
• At least 7 years of experience in progressive laboratory or equivalent healthcare leadership and management experience within a healthcare system required.
• 3 years or more in director-level or higher preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale teams in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience setting strategy, creating business plans and managing strategic partnerships and ventures preferred.
• Experience in High Reliability Operating Systems preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration is strongly preferred.

Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $151,087.75 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
• Salary range: $151,087.75 - $226,620.67 per year.
• Full-time benefit eligible.
• Retirement with matching, up to 7.5%.
