We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our Legal TLM (Transactions/LRL/Manufacturing) team, partnering with the International Business Unit (IBU) Procurement teams at Lilly. We are interested in a versatile, team-oriented candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment with broad responsibility and influence. This multidisciplinary position requires leveraging deep legal and business acumen with an understanding of the life sciences industry to partner with and provide legal and business advisory services to Lilly’s IBU Procurement and related functions. The primary areas of focus include: Legal, Risk Mitigation, and Strategic Counseling. Provide legal and strategic counseling and substantive expertise to IBU procurement, with a focus on value creation, risk mitigation, and implementation of process and technology infrastructure to drive efficiency. Act as a transactional partner and strategic advisor to Lilly’s IBU procurement functions, with special emphasis on international business operations. Initiatives include transactional support of IBU Procurement’s external contracting function, including coordination of local law issues and implementation of contract lifecycle management (CLM) infrastructure to improve efficiency and streamline processes across the enterprise and the IBU. Global Services and Manufacturing. Lilly continues to be a leader in the global pharmaceutical space. The development of new and exciting medicines at Lilly has created a more complex, dynamic, and diversified global footprint and supporting services infrastructure. The number and variety of external products and services suppliers and clinical trial partners requires that Lilly closely cultivate and manage these key relationships, both internally and externally, to ensure that lifesaving medicines are produced in a reliable, efficient, and sustainable way. This position will be an integral part of expanding managing and sustaining the IBU procurement network and its supporting supplier base.
