About The Position
The Senior Director, Internal Communications is responsible for leading internal communications strategy for the National Audubon Society. They will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive internal communications program to inform, encourage, and support staff engagement and commitment to our mission. They will also be point on internal crisis communications for the organization. As a thought leader at Audubon, the Senior Director, Internal Communications will partner with staff across the organization, including the People and Culture team and leadership team. They will lead a comprehensive, coordinated communications and messaging plan to ensure staff are connected, informed, and engaged. This person will report to the VP, Communications and will supervise one communication team member and agency partners in comprehensive internal message planning and strategies that advance Audubon's priority initiatives and strengthen organizational culture. This is a hybrid position and can be based in our Washington, DC or New York City office locations.
