About The Position

The Senior Director of Insurance Optimization Services at Alvarez & Marsal will lead engagements and support sales within the Insurance industry. Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in risk management, insurance brokerage, underwriting, or consulting.
• Bachelor's degree in insurance/risk management, Business Administration, or a relevant field; advanced education preferred (MBA, JD).
• Prior customer and market-facing experience in the insurance industry.
• Significant experience in large-scale transactions and complex financial analysis.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with analytical abilities.
• Core accounting knowledge and understanding of risk impacts on financial results.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with captives, loss portfolio transfers, and transition services.
• Familiarity with enterprise risk management (ERM) implementation and frameworks (ISO 3100, COSO).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements and support sales within the Insurance Optimization Services team.
• Transform and optimize insurance products for clients to drive growth and profitability.
• Manage customer relationships, sales, and contract negotiations.
• Oversee large-scale transactions and provide advisory services related to insurance.
• Analyze complex quality of earnings, valuation, collateral, financing, and cash flow.
• Manage vendor performance including brokers, third-party administrators, and actuaries.
• Implement enterprise risk management frameworks and utilize risk tools.
